Energy Gel Electrolyte is designed to be taken BEFORE and DURING exercise.
Please consider the environment and keep the countryside clean by taking your empty gel wrappers with you after use.
Consume as part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
Tear the top of the sachet and drink the gel directly from the sachet. Take up to three sachets per hour during exercise, less if you are also using a sports drink. Can be used in combination with Energy Gel and Energy Gel Caffeine.
When exercising it’s important to stay hydrated so we recommend using this product alongside ZERO or Isotonic Hydration.

What is the difference between this and your other energy gels?
There are two main differences to our standard Energy Gels. Firstly Energy Gel Electrolytes contains key electrolytes sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride, and secondly, it has a slightly higher water content making it more like a drink than a gel. Why do I need electrolytes?
When you sweat you don’t just lose water, you also lose vital minerals too. Electrolytes is the name for those minerals lost through sweat. When exercising it’s really important to replenish fluid AND electrolytes in order to stay hydrated and keep performing at your best.
Does Energy Gel Electrolyte taste salty?
The taste of the salty minerals might come through a little, but don’t worry, these gels taste just as great as our other products!
Is this product Vegetarian/Vegan?
Yes, Energy Gel Electrolyte is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
Does this product contain caffeine?
No, Energy Gel Electrolyte is caffeine free.
Is this product natural?
Energy Gel Electrolyte contains natural flavourings and no colourings or artificial sweeteners.
Will the gels fit in my cycle jersey pocket?
Energy Gel Electrolyte comes in a small convenient sachet and it’s easy to carry in your cycle jersey pocket.
Do I need to take water with Energy Gel Electrolyte?
Energy Gel Electrolyte has a consistency more like a sports drink so you don't need to drink extra water with it. However, when exercising it’s important to stay hydrated so we recommend using Energy Gel Electrolyte alongside a drink like ZERO, Isotonic Hydration or Energy Drink.
Is it okay to take Energy Gel Electrolyte and follow with water or ZERO?
You should consume gels with appropriate fluid intake to stay hydrated as is recommended whenever you take part in sports activity. You can use ZERO instead of water.
Is Energy Gel Electrolyte drug free/free from banned substances?
As part of our Drugs Free policy, we provide some products that have been batch tested. Unfortunately we don't have Energy Gel Electrolyte available right now but you can purchase Energy Gel (similar product, but without electrolytes) from a batch that has been tested for substances on the WADA Prohibited List here. The main manufacturing site for HIGH5 products, where we make our gels and powders, is Informed Manufacturer certified. We do not use banned ingredients in HIGH5 products and have a 100% proven track record: no athlete has ever tested positive from using a HIGH5 product.
